Architecture in Film – Gattaca

Gattaca serves as this week’s subject for Architecture in Film:

Gattaca Architecture

It’s the future as imagined by writers in the 90’s. Gattaca architecture has a way of feeling minimalistic and dated. Two attributes that create a subtle stylized design in the film that just works.

Curves play a huge role in the aesthetic of any Gattaca architecture. The more curves, the more futuristic. Corridors that play with light and shadow and reflective materials that make spaces appear larger than they are.
